Wild Cat Weekend brings together three organizations with a shared passion for animals, conservation, education, and responsible animal care.

Amazing Animals Inc. is a ZAA-accredited wildlife preserve in St. Cloud, Florida, home to more than 100 animal ambassadors. The preserve focuses on education, conservation, and creating meaningful experiences that inspire people to care about our natural world.

Central Florida Animal Reserve provides a long-term home for big cats that cannot return to the wild, including lions, tigers, leopards, and cougars. Its work centers around compassion, conservation, education, and long-term animal care. 

Feline Conservation Foundation (FCF) works to advance wild feline conservation through education, advocacy, responsible animal ownership, and support for conservation projects.

Together, these organizations are creating a weekend that celebrates wild cats while strengthening the community of people working to protect wildlife.

Saturday: Amazing Animals Inc.

The weekend kicks off on Saturday, September 26, at Amazing Animals Inc. in St. Cloud. Guests will have an exclusive opportunity to take a private tour of the ZAA-accredited wildlife preserve from 2:00–5:00 PM. This behind-the-scenes experience provides a closer look at the animals, the people who care for them, and what goes into operating a professional wildlife facility. Amazing Animals is home to more than 100 animal ambassadors, and the preserve’s private-tour format allows guests to experience the facility in a more personal and educational setting. Then, at 5:00 PM, the weekend continues with an evening social at Amazing Animals featuring food, drinks, games, and a silent auction, with proceeds supporting Feline Conservation Foundation conservation programs. It’s a chance to relax, meet other wildlife professionals and enthusiasts, share stories, and have some fun while supporting wildlife conservation.

Sunday: Central Florida Animal Reserve

On Sunday, September 27, the weekend moves to Central Florida Animal Reserve for a private guided tour beginning at 12:00 PM. Guests will have the opportunity to see magnificent big cats, including tigers, lions, and leopards, while learning more about their individual stories, daily care, and the challenges facing these species. CFAR’s tours are guided and designed around education, observation, safety, and respect for the animals. 

More Than a Weekend of Tours

One of the things that makes Wild Cat Weekend different is the opportunity to connect with other people who share a passion for wildlife. The weekend is designed to create opportunities for networking, education, partnerships, advocacy, and conservation. Guests can meet zoo and wildlife professionals, conservationists, vendors, and others working throughout the animal care community.

The Amazing Animals Wild Cat Weekend experience also highlights conservation experts and organizations working in the field, including the Feline Conservation Foundation and Rainforest Awareness Rescue Education Center (RAREC). Whether you operate a zoo, wildlife preserve, farm, sanctuary, aquarium, or animal experience—or you’re simply passionate about wildlife—this weekend is an opportunity to make new connections and learn from people doing this work every day.

Your Ticket Supports Conservation

Wild Cat Weekend isn’t just about having a great time. Your participation helps support wildlife conservation, education, and advocacy. The Saturday evening social will include fundraising opportunities benefiting FCF conservation programs, helping support projects dedicated to protecting wild felids and their habitats. It’s a simple idea: come together, learn something, meet great people, experience incredible animals, and leave knowing you helped make a difference.
