Bring the zoo to your school or event! Florida wildlife education programs aligned with state standards, featuring live animals, hands-on learning, and conservation.

<h3>
<span>

There is something magical about seeing a live animal up close. A textbook can teach facts. A video can show behavior. But nothing compares to the moment a child locks eyes with an alligator, gently touches a tortoise, or watches an African Grey Parrot solve a problem right in front of them.

At Amazing Animals Inc., that's exactly what our Zoo to You programs are designed to do. Whether we're visiting a preschool, elementary school, high school, library, corporate office, convention, nursing home, birthday party, or community festival, our goal is always the same: To inspire you to do something amazing for the natural world.

Wildlife Education That Meets Florida Standards

</p>
<p>
<br/>
</p>
<p>
<span>

Before becoming Executive Director of Amazing Animals Inc., I earned my Master's Degree in Education, where I specialized in curriculum development and instructional design. That background allows us to create programs that are far more than simply bringing animals into a classroom. Every educational presentation is built around the Next Generation Sunshine State Standards, helping teachers reinforce science concepts while giving students an unforgettable learning experience. Our curriculum is continually reviewed and updated to ensure it remains engaging, accurate, and relevant. Our goal isn't just for students to remember an animal. It's for them to remember why that animal matters.

<p>
<span>

Research consistently shows that people remember experiences far better than lectures alone. Our programs typically feature seven different ambassador animals and last about one hour, allowing students to experience reptiles, birds, mammals, and other fascinating wildlife through hands-on learning whenever appropriate. Programs are customized for every age group, from preschool through high school. Instead of memorizing facts, students discover:

Every Zoo to You program is designed around one priority: the welfare of our animals. Amazing Animals Inc. is accredited by the Zoological Association of America (ZAA), and every offsite program is carefully planned to ensure the safety and comfort of both the animals and our guests. We are fully licensed, insured, and experienced in transporting ambassador animals for educational programs across Florida. Our animal lineup is selected based on travel conditions, weather, the venue, and—most importantly—the needs of each individual animal.

<p>
<span>

The greatest compliment we receive isn't that someone had fun. It's when a student tells us they want to become a veterinarian, zoologist, wildlife biologist, or conservationist because of an animal they met during one of our programs. Every presentation is designed to build empathy, curiosity, and a lifelong appreciation for wildlife. We believe that meaningful connections with animals inspire people to protect them, and that conservation begins with education.

I've dedicated more than two decades to caring for wildlife, beginning my career as a dolphin trainer at Discovery Cove before serving as Director of NatureWorks at the Orlando Science Center and eventually founding Amazing Animals. Throughout my career I've worked with hundreds of species, managed animal collections, helped achieve accreditation standards, and trained both animals and animal care professionals. Every tour we give is built on that experience—not just entertainment. When I introduce you to our sloths, capybaras, reptiles, birds, or other ambassadors, you're hearing stories from someone who has spent a career studying their behavior, husbandry, welfare, and conservation.

As someone who has worked with sloths since 2004 and capybaras since 2014, I’d like to share a different perspective. This isn’t just about finding a place to take a picture with an animal—it’s about choosing an experience that puts animal welfare first while creating memories you’ll treasure for a lifetime.

<strong>

Animal encounters have become incredibly popular over the last decade. That’s wonderful because they help people connect with wildlife, but it also means many facilities now offer encounters simply because they’re trendy. When choosing a sloth encounter in Florida or capybara encounter in Florida, ask yourself one simple question: Does this experience look genuine and authentic, or does it feel commercial and like a factory assembly line? The best wildlife experiences aren’t rushed. They don’t move guests through as quickly as possible. They prioritize the animals first. Look for a licensed—and preferably accredited—facility with years of experience caring for the species you want to meet. Accreditation demonstrates a long-term commitment to professional animal welfare, conservation, and education.

At Amazing Animals Inc., we’ve offered private animal encounters in Florida featuring sloths and capybaras since 2015, making us the original capybara encounter experience in Florida. We had capybaras long before they became internet celebrities. As a ZAA-accredited wildlife preserve, we’ve built our programs around one philosophy: Our animals always have a choice. At no point during our private tours are animals forced to participate. They can approach guests, walk away, climb a tree, relax in the shade, or simply decide today isn’t their day. We offer our animals choice, control, and the freedom to leave any encounter whenever they wish. That freedom creates excellent animal welfare—and it creates a much more authentic experience for our guests.

</p>
<p>
<strong>

One of the biggest misconceptions we hear is that sloths love being held. They don’t. Wild sloths are solitary animals. Nearly everything around them has the potential to be a predator, so they naturally avoid unnecessary contact. Two-toed sloths, which are the species we work with, are incredibly strong. They have powerful arms, long claws, and surprisingly large, sharp teeth. They can bite and defend themselves if they feel threatened. That’s why we never force interaction. Instead, we enter their habitat, and they decide whether they want to visit us. Sometimes they climb right over and spend time with guests. Other days they may prefer to relax in a favorite tree or lounge in a nesting box. Either way, we’re respecting the animal’s choices, and our guests get to witness authentic sloth behavior.

Our capybara family has become one of the highlights of every private zoo tour in Florida. Guests meet Phoebe and Penelope, our mother-daughter pair. Penelope has been with us since she was a baby and has become one of our greatest conservation success stories. She has produced nearly 70 offspring, all of which now live in accredited zoological facilities across North America, helping educate millions of visitors about the world’s largest rodent. We’ve learned an incredible amount about capybara husbandry over the past decade, and many zoological facilities now contact us for advice on breeding, social dynamics, exhibit design, and creating safe, ethical encounters. We’re always happy to share what we’ve learned because improving animal care benefits everyone.

One of the things guests tell us most often is that our tours don’t feel like a tourist attraction. In fact, many people laugh when they first arrive You pull up to what looks like an ordinary home with a large gate. Then the gate opens. Suddenly, it’s like stepping into Jurassic Park. You’re transported into an entirely different world filled with more than 100 animals from around the globe, many of which are rarely seen in zoological collections. Our tours are intentionally limited to just three private encounters each day. There are no crowds. No loudspeaker announcing the next group. No feeling of being rushed from one attraction to the next. Instead, your tour is led by one of the very people who cares for these animals every single day.

You’ll have plenty of opportunities to take your own photos and selfies with our ambassador animals, and your guide is always happy to help take family pictures so everyone can be in the moment. Whether it’s feeding a capybara, watching a sloth slowly climb over for a visit, or introducing your child to a snake for the very first time, these are the moments families remember forever.

At Amazing Animals Inc., we believe education changes the world. Research consistently shows that up-close personal connections with wildlife inspire conservation action. When people truly connect with an animal, they’re more likely to care about protecting wildlife and the habitats they call home. That’s why every tour includes conservation stories, animal behavior, and opportunities to ask questions directly to the people who care for these animals every day. When guests leave Amazing Animals Inc., we hope they don’t just leave with incredible photos. We hope they leave with a greater appreciation for wildlife, a deeper understanding of animal welfare, and the inspiration to help protect nature. After all, that’s our mission: To inspire you to do something amazing for our natural world.
